What is this?

The Persimmon Mobile Library is a volunteer-operated mutual aid project based in what is currently known as Atlanta, Georgia.

This initiative was formally launched in 2026 to achieve the following:

a) Promoting exposure and access to media about or by Asian Americans - especially works with anti-colonial and anti-state perspectives; media being inclusive of all written forms such as books, essays, poems, etc. as well as audio and visual exhibitions.

b) Raising awareness of events, domestic and abroad, past and present, that motivate diasporic movement of Asian peoples.

c) Expanding inter- and intra-community access to educational resources.

Our ambition is to break down the illusion of an Asian American monolith, address harmful stereotypes, promote solidarity across communities, and strengthen efforts toward collective liberation.
